A Conversation with the Sun (Afterimage) is a new video installation by acclaimed filmmaker and artist Apichatpong Weerasethakul, made in collaboration with Rueangrith Suntisuk and Pornpan Arayaveerasid of Bangkok-based collective DuckUnit.

The work explores the transience of light through video diary fragments projected onto a slow-moving fabric that acts as both curtain and screen. As images appear, dissolve, and return, they evoke a shifting, dream-like space where ‘surfaces shift and meanings transform.’

Known for his meditative style and exploration of memory, time, and dreams, Weerasethakul continues to blur boundaries between visual art and cinema in this immersive installation.
