Saturday 12 April from 7pm to 9pm
In 1926, the Irish architect and furniture designer Eileen Gray commenced design and construction of a gorgeous villa on the French Riviera she called E-1027.
It was a pioneering masterpiece of modernist architecture – inspired by Corbusier's 'five points' but two years before his famous Villa Savoye.
In 2024, Michael Hauptman visited there with his wife, and will present the fascinating story of the villa.
It's a tale of love, betrayal, obsession, feminism and sexism, scandal and murder, and even some architecture!
