Wednesday 20 August from 5:30pm to 7:30pm

In collaboration with National Science Week, Discovery After Dark calls all curious minds for an evening of insight and imagination.

Designed for guests aged 18+, you will have the chance to experience:

  • A live debate – Do we understand the world better through data or art?

Hear from our researchers as they use their work, personal anecdotes and connection to art to present their contrasting viewpoints – and then have your say.

  • Our Art of Discovery exhibition

Showcasing the highly commended entries from our Art of Discovery competition, this is your chance to see medical science through the eyes of our researchers. Witness the exhibition come to life and contribute to the conversation by voting for the People’s Choice Award.

  • Canapés and connections

Did the debate leave you with any burning questions? Are you curious about any of the artworks? Enjoy drinks and canapés as you mingle with the researchers and discover the stories behind the science.
