Dine and Draw with Sam Wallman

When

Friday 5 December from 6pm to 8pm

Dive into the world of comic storytelling in this hands-on workshop with illustrator, writer and wharfie Sam Wallman.

Inspired by Sam’s work in the exhibition View from the Docks, this relaxed, creative session invites participants to explore the theme of work - from day jobs and side hustles to memories, routines and reflections on labour.

You’ll learn the basics of autobiographical comics, brainstorm ideas, develop a simple script, and create your own short comic strip. Whether you finish a complete comic or leave with sketches and storyboards, you’ll gain practical tools to turn everyday experiences into visual stories.

Perfect for beginners and experienced illustrators alike. All materials provided.

Drinks and nibbles available for purchase on the night.
