Deaf life: Let’s talk about it!

When

Saturday 22 June from 11am to 3pm

Are you the parent of a Deaf child or work with families who have Deaf kids?

This will be a space to ask questions, learn more about the Deaf experience, culture and community, break barriers and get insights into how to raise a Deaf child. Let’s talk about it!

Join us on the day where we’ll book you into a 30-minute conversation, beginning every half hour. We’ll pair you with a Deaf or hard of hearing community member, where you can sit back, learn about their story and have a chat.

Mentors in Deaf Connect’s Family Mentor program that supports families through language and communication development will be available to answer your questions too.

Follow the booking link to register your interest and see event FAQs.

We aim to deliver inclusive and accessible events. If you have any particular access or communication needs please contact Olivia Kelly, Programs Coordinator on 9265 9333 or okelly@cityofsydney.nsw.gov.au.
