Deaf life: Let’s talk about it!
Saturday 22 June from 11am to 3pm
Are you the parent of a Deaf child or work with families who have Deaf kids?
This will be a space to ask questions, learn more about the Deaf experience, culture and community, break barriers and get insights into how to raise a Deaf child. Let’s talk about it!
Join us on the day where we’ll book you into a 30-minute conversation, beginning every half hour. We’ll pair you with a Deaf or hard of hearing community member, where you can sit back, learn about their story and have a chat.
Mentors in Deaf Connect’s Family Mentor program that supports families through language and communication development will be available to answer your questions too.
