Craig "CC" Calhoun is a well-known funk bassist, composer, producer, and educator. He has experienced various cultures throughout his musical journey, from San Francisco to historic Berlin and sunny Sydney. Although born in America, he grew up in Germany due to his father's military service.
A dream of performing and captivating the crowd at an outdoor festival ignited a strong desire to make this dream a reality. Craig discovered his true passion upon witnessing someone playing SLAP bass.
Craig's original music falls under his own genre, "EuroFunk". It is a unique fusion of his early Afro American roots in Blues and Soul, combined with his exploration of Funk, Rock, and Improvised Groove.
At the young age of 19, his band secured a six-figure production deal. This deal provided each member with a weekly payment of $300 to create original music full-time. This opportunity allowed Craig to develop the studio production skills he currently utilises in producing for Artists, composing for documentaries, games, animation, and releasing his own music.
He has had the privilege of opening concerts for iconic artists such as Santana, and more.
