Wednesday 24 March 2021 from 6pm to 10pm
Join us for a night of Decadent Food, award-winning wine and an intimate performance by Melbourne Born Country Artist, Ben Mastwyk.
As he approaches the opening of The Blue Door in Sydney’s Surry Hills, this 6 Course Degustation will be the truest to Chef Dylan Cashman’s vision for The Blue Door, highlighting the incredible NSW Producers Aquna Murray Cod and Tathra Place Free Range Ducks.
For those that don’t know, Ben Mastwyk is a a prolific songwriter steeped proudly in country roots, Mastwyk has travelled the long highways of America’s south penning tales and poems as playful and amusing as they are dark and heartbreaking. On the back of his Best Country Album nomination for his debut LP “Mornin Evenin” in 2015 (The Age Music Victoria Awards) Mastwyk toured his songs throughout Australia, New Zealand and the USA. With all-star psychedelic honky-tonk outfit Mastwyk’s Millions, songs erupt into swaggeringly beautiful bar-room gems, painting broad sonic strokes over solid, shuffling rhythms.
We are lucky to have Ben Mastwyk in a pre-album launch event, spending the night serenading us before he enjoys the NSW Tour for his latest album.
This event will be held at the beautiful Freedom Hub in Sydney’s Waterloo (close to Green Square station). The Freedom Hub is a for-profit café that rescues children, women and men from Modern-Day Slavery happening here in Australia.
Limited to 40 people. Menu will be posted a week out from the event.
Dress Code: there is no such thing as overdressed.
