Friday 19 September from 6pm to 7pm

Li Hu and Huang Wenjing, founding partners of Beijing-based OPEN architecture studio, share their innovative approaches to designing spaces that connect us with nature, each other and ourselves.

OPEN believes in the power of architecture to support and sustain healthy environments for all. In this keynote, OPEN presents a series of projects with common principles: reverence for nature, resilience in harsh environments and alignment with celestial cycles. OPEN aims to direct the invisible flow of energy (or chi, in Chinese philosophy) through its work, leading to rediscovering a deeper sense of belonging and anchoring.

OPEN will also present an excerpt of its film Nature Trilogy, a collaboration with director Zhang Nan on display at the 19th Venice Architecture Biennale in 2025.

This is an Auslan interpreted event.
