Christmas at the Cathedral

Enjoy the spirit of Christmas at St Mary's Cathedral and the adjoining Cathedral Square, with live entertainment, market stalls, food and the Cathedral's famous light show!

This year’s theme celebrates 'A Christmas Carol' produced by the team behind VIVID Sydney. Narration will help elevate the animation immersing the whole family in the classic Dickens tale.

For the first time, the stunning light shows and projections will also be displayed on both the main, and western side entrance of the Cathedral, giving visitors even more to see.

Pack a picnic or grab something festive from on the food and drink stalls available on-site and enjoy the Cathedral's famous stained-glass windows turning into a kaleidoscope of colours. Enjoy a Christmas performance every night at the front steps of St Mary's Cathedral.
