City of Sydney Library is celebrating Children’s Book Week in 2020 with a great line-up of online book readings and activities.
The Children’s Book Council of Australia (CBCA) brings children and books together each year for Children’s Book Week. Book Week recognises the work of quality Australian authors and illustrators.
Join City of Sydney librarians online reading books from the CBCA shortlist.
These fun sessions for 3 to 5 year-olds are available to watch anytime.

If you’re a City of Sydney Library member you can borrow or read CBCA shortlisted titles for Book of the Year in our collection. Search the online catalogue to borrow the books using our reserve and collect service or download the ebook.
There are also some great activities available from CBCA for you to do with your kids at home. Create prehistoric or feathered friend bookmarks and draw or colour in your own curious creatures.
