Join us for a comprehensive workshop where you'll learn the art of creating a beautiful and functional tea set from scratch.

Throwing and shaping - You’ll begin with the basics of wheel throwing, focusing on creating the individual components of your tea set, including the teapot, cups, and saucers. We'll cover techniques for shaping and refining your pieces to ensure they meet your design vision.

Trimming and assembling - You’ll refine your pieces through trimming and shaping to achieve the desired form and balance. Learn how to assemble the various components, such as attaching handles to your teapot and cups. Emphasis will be placed on creating seamless, functional joins.

Glazing and finishing - In the final session you'll explore different glazing techniques to enhance the aesthetic and functional qualities of your tea set. You'll apply glaze to your bisque-fired pieces, experimenting with colours and finishes to achieve a polished, professional look.

By the end of the workshop, you'll have crafted a complete tea set, ready for use or display, showcasing your newfound pottery skills. Ideal for beginners and those with some experience, this class offers personalized instruction and a supportive environment to nurture your creativity.
