Carer Carnivale Day

When

Saturday 1 April 2023 from 10am to 3pm

Attention all carers, families, and friends! You’re invited to Carer Gateway Carnivale Day for a free fun-filled day to celebrate the amazing job carers do.

The Carer Gateway team from The Benevolent Society, in partnership with Your Side, is holding this free event to celebrate the 2.7 million unpaid carers in Australia.

There will be live entertainment, family activities, information stalls, art therapy and group mindfulness exercises to improve your wellbeing, burn some energy and have some fun. There’s also plenty for the kids to do too including arts and crafts, dress ups and games. With pets known to enhance health and wellbeing, there’ll be a petting zoo and pet adoption information.

Food trucks will be there to purchase food and you can also bring a picnic for the family and enjoy the carnivale atmosphere. Everyone is welcome to attend!

The Carer Gateway team will be there to answer any questions you may have about the program. If you are a new carer, they will also be able to offer you support in your caring role.
