Children's author Sheena Garg will lead a lively online session of storytelling and creativity. Listen to Sheena read from her latest book The Best Rangoli Ever: A Diwali Story.

This picture book brings the joy and colour of the Indian festival of Diwali to life through a story about two siblings whose box of rangoli colours goes missing, beginning a race against time to save their Diwali. In this session you will create your own rangoli, the vibrant and decorative floor patterns made during Diwali.

What you will need: Students will need A4 white paper and colouring pencils or crayons.

Target audience: Suitable for Kindergarten – Year 2 students (children aged 5 - 8) but all welcome.

This session, artworks, film and sound clips are protected by copyright and may not be recorded, reproduced or used in any way without the express written consent of the State Library of NSW.

This online event will be held on Zoom. Register here to receive the Zoom link to join the session. For help with Zoom, go here.
