Bonobo (DJ Set): Call to the Night

Throw down on a hidden dance floor in the Sydney CBD with the one and only Bonobo (DJ set).

Maestro of the downtempo, Bonobo will dial it right up for a one-time party in the Banquet Hall of the brutalist Masonic Centre.  

Bonobo – currently raking in the accolades for 2022 album Fragments (“brilliant, wondrous work” The Guardian) – is in peak form. Known for meticulously layered compositions full of tension and release, his house-led DJ sets are equally dynamic and twice as unexpected.  

Dancing within the concrete monolith of the Masonic Centre will be an unforgettable experience – the imposing architecture extends inside to the Banquet Hall, where the concrete walls climb two stories up to a massive lattice structure above the dance floor. 

Limber up for the five-time GRAMMY-nominated Bonobo’s choice selections, with bass lines fit to rattle the steel and passing suits of the CBD. Call to the Night is out to prove there’s still space for a spectacular sesh in Sydney's heart of commerce. 

Call to the Night is the nocturnal half of a series which celebrates Sydney’s special spaces and reflects its conflicted identity, capturing two very different moods of our city in a conversation between artist and place.
