Sunday 30 March from 10:30am to 12pm Sunday 30 March from 1pm to 2:30pm
Join Museums of History NSW for an inclusive bird watching tour that will explore the Vaucluse House Estate and Nielsen Park, where you’ll discover and learn about some of the fascinating species of birds that inhabit this spectacular part of Sydney.
Amy Ranck and Stephanie Chambers from Sydney Bird Club will lead us through hidden pockets of this lush landscape taking you through the steps to go from casual birdwatcher to fully fledged twitcher, spotting birds, observing their behaviour and understanding their habitat needs.
Please note
As this event is a walking tour, a reasonable level of fitness is required.
About the Sydney Bird Club
Sydney Bird Club is an inclusive club, which means everyone is welcome - all genders, ages and skill levels. Our mission is to make everyone feel comfortable birding and we truly hope you find inspiration within our pages. The club was founded in 2016 by Stephanie Chambers and Amy Ranck when they moved to Sydney from the U.S. Amy is a native Sydneysider, but Stephanie is a native New Yorker and had to look at their guidebook to confirm an Ibis on arrival (!). Amy is an excellent spotter and Stephanie is a bookworm who relishes in ID’ing.
They see birding as a social activity and the only barrier to entry is having some ears, eyes and an interest to know more.
