Concerts for All is proud to present an intimate session with Van-Anh Nguyen, an ARIA-nominated pianist and Universal Music, Decca Records and Deutsche Grammophon recording artist who has transformed her classical foundation into a boundary-breaking career that spans the concert hall, the pop charts, and the global stage.

Part concert, part lecture, this event focuses on the complementary relationship between formal training and creative exploration. Van-Anh will demonstrate how skills often considered “informal”—like improvisation, aural awareness, and arranging—can actually enhance a musician’s understanding of the classics while opening doors to new professional opportunities.

What to Expect

  • Career Insights: Van-Anh shares her journey as a Pianist, Producer, and Arranger, discussing how to navigate a multifaceted career in the modern industry.

  • Live Performance: Enjoy performances by Van-Anh, showcasing her signature style that blends technical precision with creative flair.

  • Comprehensive Musicianship: Explore how learning improvisation and composition works hand-in-hand with traditional education to create a well-rounded musician.

  • Interactive Demonstrations: See theory put into practice with live demonstrations at the piano, illustrating how creative approaches can inform classical understanding.

  • Q&A: A dedicated 15-minute Q&A session to ask Van-Anh your questions about music, creativity, and the industry.

Who Should Attend?

  • Music Students: Who want to explore the full range of possibilities their training offers.

  • Parents: Looking to understand the diverse career landscapes available to young musicians.

  • Teachers: Seeking inspiration on integrating creative skills into traditional curriculum.

  • Music Lovers: Who simply want to enjoy incredible piano performance and gain a fresh perspective.
