Saturday 11 May 2024 from 1:15pm to 3:45pm
This fun 4-week beginner course explores the basics of using watercolours, pencil and ink.
We will work from still life arrangements, landscape images and portraits to create artworks on archival watercolour paper.
Students will learn formal watercolour painting techniques such as washes, blooming and staccato dry brushing. Explore unconventional painting methods using materials such as cling wrap, salt and rubbing alcohol to create ethereal patterns and effects.
Your tutor will give you some great tips and hints to show you the many and varied possibilities of this magical medium.
