The Mini Beats weekly class introduces children between the ages of 6 and 10 to music through taiko, rhythm and movement.

Musical games and learning short pieces of music are an important part of the Mini Beats experience.

Key areas of learning are:

  • Maintaining a beat

  • Sequencing and pattern-making

  • Developing aural memory, kinaesthetic awareness and physical coordination

  • Working together with others

Try a class for free on us

Please join us for a try-out class at any of the first three classes of the term for no charge. If your child loves it and would like to continue only pay for the remaining term classes. To arrange a free try-out class please email learn@australiantaikoacademy.com.au and provide your contact details, your date of choice for the free class and your child's age and name.
