Tuesday 24 October from 6:30pm to Wednesday 25 October 6pm
Welcome Reception on 24 October, followed by symposium on 25 October
With the return of Chinese international students to Australia, this symposium examines how we can provide them with a world-class experience – offering a high-quality education, tourism experiences for their friends and families, and work opportunities that support our tourism and hospitality sectors.
This symposium, which is supported by the City of Sydney and the NSW Government, is the key forum for discussing issues unique to Chinese international students.
The Hon Anoulack Chanthivong MP, Minister for Industry and Trade, will address the Symposium.
Universities, vocational education providers, accommodation providers, tourism operators and industry associations will hear best practice in addressing new challenges such as accommodation pressures, cost increases and a tougher job market.
The symposium will feature:
Welcome Reception, with remarks by Lord Mayor Clover Moore.

Keynote addresses from Government officials and education sector leaders, including Vicki Thomson, Chief Executive & Director, Group of Eight, and Catriona Jackson, Chief Executive, Universities Australia.
