Art walk Woollahra

When

Saturday 19 October 2024 from 1:30pm to 3:30pm

Cost

Member: $35Non-member: $45

Join us for a tour of selected exhibitions in Sydney’s Woollahra.

We will start at Olsen Annexe to view a solo exhibition by Richard Morecroft, Internal Logic. Morecroft’s multidisciplinary practice uses painting, photography and mixed media to explore the impact of human occupied spaces and their geological and biological implications.

We will then continue to Olsen Gallery to view two exhibitions, a solo show by James McGrath and a group exhibition with Yaritji Young and Silvia Ken. McGrath creates artworks that are layered with historical imagery, digital media and traditional 17th-century paintings. Yaritji Young’s work focuses primarily on the story of the Honey Ant, or Tjala, and Sylvia Ken, winner of the 2019 Wynne Prize creates vibrant, narrative-filled canvases in a rich palette.

We will finish at Roslyn Oxley9 Gallery to view Sir Isaac Julien's photographic series Once again... (Statues Never Die). Julien is a London-based filmmaker and installation artist whose current work is an immersive five-screen installation.
