Saturday 7 May 2022 from 10am to 6pm
Following its 2008 debut, Africultures festival has evolved into what is now Australia's biggest one-day African festival held annually in Sydney.
The festival has moved to Cathy Freeman Park in the heart of Sydney Olympic Park to accommodate the ever-increasing numbers of participants from across NSW who come out to celebrate and immerse themselves in the various cultures of Africa.
The Festival will highlight the vibrant music, diverse arts, cultural performances, stalls and authentic tastes and smells that will transform Cathy Freeman Park into an African village.
This is a wonderful example of an event where people from many cultures and places come together to celebrate diversity. An event only made possible by the commitment of our volunteers and the support of our sponsors, Sydney Olympic Park Authority, Multicultural NSW and City of Parramatta.
Africultures Festival is unique in the way it is a truly community-owned and authentic festival. The event is coordinated by a team of dedicated volunteers and is self-funded through festival ticket sales, sponsorship, stall-holder fees and community donations. Tickets are $5+booking fee and pre-purchase is encouraged to avoid disappointment.
It is one of the largest community-based events on the Western Sydney calendar, tickets are on sale now at www.africultures.com.au.
