Being successful in retail and hospitality requires an innovative approach.

The City of Sydney’s retail innovation program has been instrumental in helping local businesses think differently, innovate their business models and embrace new trends by working with leading entrepreneurs.

Growing on the program’s success, the City of Sydney is offering a series of free online education sessions.

Key speakers will cover topics from digital marketing, e-commerce and pop-up experiences, to understanding customers and content strategy. These sessions zero in on the topics that matter most to growing businesses.

Friday 19 February

10am   Understanding shopper behaviour, with Peter Huskins from Shopability. Know the difference between a customer, consumer and a shopper. Improve my connection to them and influence their behaviour. Craft specific brand, product messages and concepts to your target market.

11am   Unlock your sales power in-house, with Annie Luu from Fingerprint for Success. Unlock your sales power in-house by leveraging F4S. Based on more than 20 years of research, the F4S work style assessment helps you and your team identify blind spots and work motivations.

Friday 26 February

10am   Digital marketing: Essentials for retail brands, with Jasmine Batra from Arrow Digital. Take a peek at new digital marketing essentials to add to your toolkit and. And plan your next "Big 3" digital marketing projects to meet your sales goals.

11am   The Virtual World: Retail with Zoom and Brauz. with Charlie Thomlinson (Zoom), Lee Hardham (Brauz) and Shane Lenton (Unified Commerce)

Platforms like Zoom are connecting people in the new world of remote working and living. Brauz has enabled retailers and shopping centres stay connected.  Zoom and Brauz have teamed up to deliver best virtual shopping experiences to retailers. They’ve made it easy to setup, simple to use and affordable.

11am   Learning to love risk, with Katie Shortland from RaRa Group.
