For many Sydneysiders, Christmas doesn’t always feel like Christmas. Warm weather, seafood platters, and trips to the beach can lack the magic of a traditional holiday. Enter A Right Proper Christmas at Nag’s Head Hotel in Glebe - Sydney’s ultimate festive experience, bringing all the charm of a classic British Christmas to Glebe.

Every Sunday from December 1st to Christmas Eve, Nag’s Head will transform into a festive haven where British expats and Aussies alike can revel in the magic of a northern Christmas. Chef Nelly Robinson has created a three-course roast menu ($65) that features seasonal favourites such as pigs in blankets, duck and cranberry doughnuts, marmalade-glazed ham and traditional Christmas pudding with brandy anglaise.

Upstairs at Nag’s Head, Lizzie’s Lounge, the space named after the later British monarch, will be fully decked with festive décor, twinkling lights, mistletoe, and cooler than average temperatures to set the scene, offering a wintery escape from Sydney’s summer. With mulled wine warming the hands and delicious marmalade-glazed ham, this is a feast made for the cold-weather cravings of a northern Christmas. For those keen to immerse themselves in a complete British winter experience, head up to Lizzie’s Lounge for A Right Proper Christmas at Nag’s Head.
