A Fragile Piece is a collaborative exhibition which seeks to illustrate how bare earth seems stark, tough and barren at first glance, yet supports and nurtures the leafy, featured and flowing beauty that springs from it, clings on, and transforms to energy.  A reminder of the necessary but fragile balance we all depend on to thrive on earth.

Open daily, 27 March to 2 April, 10am to 5pm. Opening night is Friday 28 March, 6-8pm.

Shannon Lewis creates ceramic pieces based on traditional forms, refined to complement modern interior architecture and décor. Her work includes both sculptural and functional pieces. She uses surface decoration techniques to reference essential characteristics of natural landscapes, with a focus on the diverse tones and textures of earth and rock and the liminal space between the ocean and the shore.

Liana Zverina creates highly textural, slightly abstract, mixed media and watercolour works on wood and paper with a focus on nature and its challenges of existing in a human dominated world. Unbound by rules of colour and perspective, her works invite exploration. Upon a closer look, these works reveal a kaleidoscope of colour and hidden meanings, seeking to inspire the viewer’s curiosity.
