A buzzy and adventurous new physical theatre work for children and families exploring ways we can work together in sticky situations and celebrating native Australian flora and fauna.
Join Queen Bee and Worker Bee on a quest to rebuild a home after their hive is destroyed by bushfire. Merging circus, acrobatics, dance and live music, A Bee Story is an enchanting and educational show that explores issues surrounding sustainability, environmentalism and community.
A gravity-defying journey through the intricate and endangered life of native bees that hums with heart, honey and humanity.
Created and directed by Robbie Curtis (Cirque du Soleil, Circus Oz, the Australian Ballet), with co-creator, musician and performer Lizzie McRae as Queen Bee, A Bee Story was developed as part of Merrigong Theatre Company’s independent artists’ program, MerrigongX.
