The first of three exhibitions in the 321 Exhibition Series shows new work by three artist friends with diverse practices across a range of mediums that express their personal responses to the state of the world and their own position within this maelstrom.

Anna Russell’s printmaking is focussed on our future and the potential to reach out and present a case in a different medium. Farewelling Smokestacks is one small perspective in the movement to address the floods, fires and seas turning sour, of using the process of making and appreciating art to offer space and agency to make a difference. Or at least join in the conversation.

Liz Shreeve’s work is a combination of reactions to current events, reflections on past events and experiments to work out ways of translating experiences into visual form.

Jennifer Watson’s drawings and paintings explore the experience of observation and connection with still life, using the mirror to study visual illusions and tangible objects of solace.
