2044 Street Takeover

Take back the streets and celebrate the creative energy of postcode 2044!

2044 Street Takeover highlights artists from St Peters, Tempe and Sydenham, famous for their gritty and eclectic mix of industry, art and community. May Street and May Lane in St Peters will be taken over by local bands, creative workshops, outdoor dining, roving performances and more.

Enjoy music by Lady Lyon, CINTA, The Kindness and Cocoa the Conscious, as well as bands from Tempe High and Tempe Public School. In between, you can join a workshop, whether it’s craft-making with Made by Me, developing photos using recycled materials with Darkroom Social, or creating artworks inspired by our urban surroundings and informed by your senses at Echoes of the City.

Otherwise, kick back, enjoy some local food and be entertained by the Sydney Trapeze School or your local (very lost and confused) clown, Curly Fernandez.
