2-day MAD Pride Festival

The Mad Pride Festival will be a stigma-busting event that will create a more inclusive community, to show that mental health consumers can contribute to society and are just not people with a mental health problem. They will put their singing, comedy, and poetry out there to change the perception of Randwick City to mental health.

MAD Pride is an international movement aimed at removing the stigma of mental illness through performance art. Although statistically, mental illness is widespread—particularly mental health distress and trauma—there is still a stigma attached.
