Internationally bestselling author Candice Fox will deliver a one-stop-shop writing workshop aimed at writers wanting to produce commercial crime fiction. From understanding what makes a good hero, to digging down into forensics, body decomposition and police procedure, the course will include fun exercises and idea-generating challenges.

Students will come away with a sense of their own writing strengths, areas for improvement, an understanding of the importance of what fuels ideas, and some helpful links for further research. The session will end with an ask-me-anything-about-the-industry question-session, in which students can grill Candice for ‘real talk’ about agents, advances, publishing trends and the traps and scams that aspiring authors can get caught up in.

This writing course, Writing Crime Fiction with Candice Fox, will be held at Writing NSW in Sydney.
