Saturday 18 June 2022 from 10am to 2pm
Alongside the Camperdown Commons, Sydney’s favourite urban farm Pocket City Farms is welcoming the winter season with a family-friendly solstice celebration featuring fresh fair food, farm tours, workshops, and market stalls from local sustainability initiatives, businesses and social enterprises.
The festivities kick off at the Camperdown farm on 18th June at 10am with a welcome to Country and smoking ceremony and a screening of the recently released Regenerating Australia documentary, followed by fun urban farming-based workshop, lawn games and face painting amongst the local pop up market stalls.
Pocket City Farms is a charity and social enterprise, passionate about providing fair food opportunities and food security urban farming initiatives across Australia unused cityscapes.
Since opening in June 2016, Pocket City Farms and The Camperdown Commons has become a hub for the local community; to visit and enjoy the farm greenery, get their hands dirty volunteering on the farm, attend environmentally-minded workshops, yoga classes and learn the circular process of food and how it is grown.
