William Barton: Finding Our Voice

William Barton will premiere his latest new work in Finding Our Voice, presented by the Sydney Opera House as part of the latest instalment of its bi-annual season of UnWrapped. 

William Barton is one of Australia’s most revered artists. A prolific creator, collaborator, and celebrated didgeridoo player, his deep knowledge of music and culture is embedded in his performing and compositions.    

This one-time event will feature Barton alongside his hand-picked ensemble of exceptional classical and jazz-fusion colleagues Simon Barker, Scott Tinkler, Véronique Serret, Chloe Kim and includes the premiere of a new work commissioned by the Sydney Opera House’s as part of its New Work Now funding initiative. Barton’s world premiere is created in collaboration with Simon Barker (drums) and Scott Tinkler (trumpet).
