Watercolours Advanced – Tuesday class

Basic drawing skills, composition and tonal values covered along with dry and wet techniques and colour mixing. Suitable for advanced level students.

Returning students either join in with the tutor’s instruction or continue with their own subjects. 

The first three weeks cover exercises to develop skills in using paint and water. In the first week start a simple still life to learn techniques which will be applied over the rest of the term. In the second week work with 3 shades of white to create a still life; and in the third week learn to loosen up and get bold with colour. After these first weeks continue with the program as set by the tutor, or if feeling comfortable you can start on your own subjects that inspire you.
