Véronique Serret is a violinist, vocalist and composer effortlessly bridging the divide between classical and contemporary art forms.

Folk, rock, experimental jazz, dance and improvisation all contribute to her music pallate.

Veronique writes “Prima Volta began in 2015 as part of a residency at Campbelltown Arts Centre. I had finally received my long awaited 6 string violin custom built by luthier Paul Davies. My arsenal of pedals ready: looper, chorus, delay, space reverb and of course distortion. As part of the residency, we announced an international ‘Call for Scores’ encouraging an avalanche of new works for the 6-string violin and electronics. I selected the following 4 works which over time I have reworked and with the permission of the composers organically made my own creating my debut 6 string violin album Prima Volta.”
