Sicily, at the crossroads of the Mediterranean, is resplendent with treasures and natural beauty.

In this lecture, join Lorraine Kypiotis and discover the richness of all that Sicily offers: from the imposing remains of classical Greek and Roman theatres in Taormina and Syracuse, to the evocative Valley of the Temples in Agrigento; from the intricately decorated Norman churches in Palermo and Monreale, to the splendour of Baroque palaces and the glory of Caravaggio’s masterpieces.

Lorraine Kypiotis lectures in art history at the National Art School where she is the head of undergraduate studies. She holds a Master of Arts from the University of Sydney in Renaissance studies and has just completed a PhD in fine arts.

Kypiotis will be leading the Art Gallery's World Art Tour Sicilian odyssey in April 2026.
