Thursday 16 January from 9pm to Friday 17 January 1am
Nothing in this world is promised, but we can say that this is an event with no filler and even less compromise. The goal: a refreshing spark, reverence, finesse – coupled with the promise of more to come. Theria premieres with a line-up that doubles as a statement of intent.
* LORENZO SENNI (ITALY)
* CASSIUS SELECT (CANADA)
* SACRIFICES + SOFIA ATHANASOPOULOS (ADELAIDE)
* E3P (SYDNEY)
Lorenzo Senni operates across and between states and extremes. His work resonates with any subject of late consumerism, that crass and hedonistic tide of excess which assails us. A tactile composition, and a kiss made from glass. A landscape with landscape, in which a primal force of playful energy is intertwined with invisible frameworks of painstaking research.
Cassius Select steps up to close the night out with rattling bass, dance floor throwback and playful cheek. Jagged hats and boastful snares – elusive, tech-y, syncopated – strike a pose of ‘hard to kill’.Like a fast bowl coupled with a sarcastic beckon: “dodge this.” Unlikely. No one’s mouthing off with a “that don’t impress me much” when it’s curtains. Some might say… beast mode.
Sacrifices + Sofia Athanasopoulos:
Mediterranean
Rundle Mall legacy.
Many “see it to believe” proclamations.
Close to a decade since their early Club Sync events in Adelaide, Sacrifices + Sofia Athanasopoulos have honed a fearless approach to mixing one must see 2 believe.
A rare chance to both “see” and “believe” post-recent return to category of ‘interstate act’
E3P
