Who says you need a reason to throw a party? The Toothpicks certainly don't.

Inspired by the fearlessness of heroes like Arctic Monkeys, the Beatles, Jeff Buckley and the Strokes, The Toothpicks throw absolutely everything at the wall and make damn sure it sticks. Sardonic lyrics, delivered with singularly soulful intensity, dive headfirst into jaunty, infectious grooves, powered by incessantly creative dual guitar lines which tug at your heartstrings so hard they just might snap.

Take a slightly deranged frontman whose voice careens from guttural growl to ethereal falsetto with an arresting volatility. Add a guitarist who is just as comfortable making his instrument warble sweetly or squeal ferociously, a bassist classically trained in violin and piano whose grooves stick to the floor and stay there, and a jazz drummer who swaggers and flops around the beat with irresistible intensity.

Once you witness their sweaty, spellbinding live show, you'll agree: nothing is truly something worth celebrating.
