When

Thursday 14 November 2024 from 6pm to 7pm

The Newlyweds are married improvisers who make up an entire play on the spot with just a few suggestions from the audience. Join Eleanor and Marcel for a show that is wildly unpredictable and always hilarious.

The Newlyweds are graduates of iO Chicago and members of the iconic Improv Theatre Sydney ensemble. They have performed in the USA, NZ and all around Australia.

Eleanor Stankiewicz is an award-winning actor who has toured around the country for some of Australia's biggest theatre companies. Marcel Blanch-de Wilt is a stand-up comedian who has performed in every capital city in Australia.

'An effortless masterclass. Quick witted, loveable and despicably funny. I love them.' – Sharnema Nougar (Two Little Dickheads)

'They are true improv pros, and quickly show the audience that they’re in for a great time.' – Jess Perkins (triple j)

'The Newlyweds had us eating out of the palm of their hands from the moment they meandered onstage. I’ve been twice.' – Damien Warren-Smith (Garry Starr)

'Their ability to craft a narrative punctuated with big big laughs from almost nothing is masterful!' – Oliver Coleman

'Their obvious chemistry (have you heard they're married?), warm energy and tremendous skill allow them to take command of the stage and I am sure, your hearts.' – Carlo Ritchie (The Bear Pack)
