'The Culture of Fear' by Frank Furedi

Faredi explains why fear has acquired such a morally commanding status in society today. The promotion of incalculable fears encourages helplessness and passivity. Our reaction is to seek security – any security – to deal with the fear. But who actually benefits from all of this?
