Sydney Monthly AI Safety Meetup

When

Thursday 29 February 2024 from 6pm to 9pm

Super casual way to meet and learn from the AI safety community here in Sydney.

Topics can range anything from cyber security to deepfakes to economic impacts of AI to existential risk from rogue AI systems - anything that you'd like to discuss about the future of AI and its implications for the safe & positive flourishing of humanity.

People new to AI safety - great way to meet the community with zero expectations of prior knowledge or immediately getting involved.

People with AI safety experience - great way to share your work with others & learn from their initiatives.

It's at a pub with food + drink in the CBD (vegan options available), because it's a venue with lots of space and easy transport options. Alcohol consumption is neither compulsory or even encouraged -- drink water, beer, or whatever else, up to you.

Feel free to order food + drinks for yourself or to share at the venue when you get there.

Ask & look for signs for "Soroush" or "AI safety meetup" when you get to the venue. Should be on 2nd floor. Any questions, call or message me on phone or Signal at 0404 855 478.

Please RSVP for the event here.
