The Sustained Visions exhibition at The Shop Gallery Glebe demonstrates creativity, sustainability and joy.
Art is important; from early caveman to Glebe in 2026, art shows the best of civilisation and the highs of humanity. This year, four superb artists create in paint, mosaics and ceramics.
Hadijah Munting is passionate about recycling and has found a way to create colourful mosaics using discarded metal coffee pods, recording many of Australia’s unique flora and fauna.
Carolyn Doherty uses the rich and glowing colours of oil paint for a contemporary look at the landscape from local scenes to expeditions in Tasmania, Canberra and outback NSW. Functionality or beauty? Let’s have both!
Bruna Rodwell creates objects in ceramics that are both beautiful and functional in her signature blue glazes making every cup, plate or vase a joy to experience. For centuries, the enduring beauty of the female form has inspired artists.
Feyona van Stom creates ceramic sculptures of remarkable beauty which feed the soul. Her clay bodies are always a celebration of the human form and its movement.
For a rich and varied look at what artists in 2026 are creating come and visit The Shop Gallery Glebe. You also have an opportunity to buy and take some home. There are no imported plastics or landfill objects, just handmade items of beauty.
