When

Saturday 26 July from 1:30pm to 2:20pm

Step into a warm, welcoming space where language becomes a portal. Storytellers from diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds share untranslatable words—expressions that hold memory, place, and feeling. Through these words, personal and ancestral stories unfold, weaving tales of heritage and belonging.

Over five monthly events in the Ideas Space at Darling Square Library, audiences will experience different performers sharing stories that celebrate the richness of cultural expression across communities. Each session offers a unique chance to connect through language.

Celebrate the languages, cultures, and shared stories that shape who we are—and the Sydney we call home.

Spaces are limited – book in for the first storyteller event today!

This is a free event open to 18+yrs.

We aim to present inclusive and accessible events. If you have any particular access or communication needs, please contact Pine Street Creative Arts Centre on 02 9265 9333 or pinestreet@cityofsydney.nsw.gov.au
