Step Out for Cancer is a brand new, all-ages event from Tour de Cure – uniting the community in the fight against childhood cancer.
On Sunday 9 November 2025, the inaugural Step Out for Cancer will take place in Sydney’s most iconic sporting venues: the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG), Allianz Stadium and Royal Randwick Racecourse. Walk or run, then follow up your fitness-fuelled fun with live music, food trucks and entertainment at the finish festival.
6km walk – family-friendly, start at Allianz Stadium for behind-the-scenes access via the Sydney Cricket Ground, ending at Randwick Racecourse. With Sydney FC, GWS Giants, the Roosters, Rabbitohs & Sydney Sixers as partners, expect fun activations along the way.
5km & 10km run – timed run, looping at Randwick Racecourse, with access to areas not open on race day. Perfect for fun runners or those chasing a PB!
Finish Line Festival – walkers & runners come together for live music and special performances, activations, entertainment, food trucks and celebration.
Funds raised will go directly to the Minderoo Children’s Comprehensive Cancer Centre (MCCCC). This facility is the first of its kind in the southern hemisphere, where researchers and clinicians will work side-by-side to accelerate lifesaving discoveries.
Step Out for Cancer is in partnership with Children’s Cancer Institute (CCI) and the Sydney Children’s Hospitals Foundation (SCHF).
