When

Every day, 8pm to 9pm Tuesday 19 September to Saturday 23 September

Cost

Adult: $37.00 including booking fee

Stardust tells the story of a young Australian who travels to New York in the 70s to become a Broadway star. But the city is hot, scorching with newly liberated gay life and our hero gets seriously sidelined.

The play is accompanied by images from a number of contemporary 70s NY photographers ( Alvin Baltrop, Leonard Fink and Peter Hujar) all of whom were featured in the Queer Space Studies Initiative: The Piers – a retrospective in New York in 2019. The play is a look back to see the enormous strides that have been made in the gay movement since the homophobic Australia of the 50s and 60s.
