“The world needs more films like this” - Vanity Fair

“You'll be unable to look away for even a second” - Collider

The Seed of the Sacred Fig _is an urgent female empowerment story, ripped from real-life headlines of the _Woman, Life, Freedom uprising in Iran. It includes real-life protest footage, and focuses on the women of one family as they boldly challenge their father and husband, and their own cultural norms.

As Australia’s first impact entertainment discovery platform, we’re proud to partner with Sharmill Films to bring The Seed of the Sacred Fig's message to Australian cinema audiences. We're also excited to be working with our impact partners at AUSIRAN to ensure this film's message makes an impact!
