The Sounds of Harmony concert is an initiative by Moving Forward Together (MFT). It aims to foster peace and unity in Australia through the universal language of music.

Open to the whole community, attendees will be treated to an evening of local, national and international music and performances to celebrate our diverse and multicultural communities. Not only will this event provide a forum for showcasing a diverse range of incredible musicians and talent, the Sounds of Harmony concert is an invitation to start a conversation about how we share our common humanity.

Moving Forward Together (MFT) is a registered not-for-profit with DGR status. We have a 19-year history of creating and executing effective and award-winning programs aimed at creating community-wide harmony.

  • Our values: A harmonious united Australian society where everyone can consider a safe future for the next generations.

  • Our mission: Establish community wide programs that encourage people to Stop, Think and Consider the issues that impair harmony and create opportunities for communicating the positive benefits of unity, humanity and co-operation.

  • Our vision: A decent society that embraces all people regardless of colour, origin, culture or religion.

The Sounds of Harmony committee acknowledges that this event takes place on the traditional lands of the Bedegal people. We pay our respects to elders past and present, along with today’s descendants to ensure that the oldest living culture continues for future generations.
