This Silver Jewellery Essentials: 4-Week Workshop provides students with the opportunity to develop essential jewellery-making skills while working with silver and non-ferrous metals.
Led by our skilled and enthusiastic jeweller, students will be guided in safety at the jewellery bench. You'll gain hands-on experience in using various metals, hand tools and the equipment used in the jewellery workshop.
The focus of the course will be on using a jeweller's saw frame to make a pendant, brooch or earrings as well as how to make a ring from sterling silver, brass or copper. Students will learn techniques such as saw piercing, ring forming, soldering, and texturing metal. This workshop is perfect for those interested in trying out jewellery making before committing to a full silver jewellery course.
By the end of this Silver Jewellery Essentials Course, you should have:
