Music Fit for a King: Mozart and Boccherini - Sally Walker & Friends.

Mozart and Boccherini: two of the great composers from the ‘golden age’ of Classical music, and friends, who both counted King Friedrich Wilhelm II of Prussia as their patron. While Mozart’s fame is renowned, Boccherini reveals himself a master of vividly evocative music: explosive drama and profound tenderness, contained within his trademark elegant style. Boccherini’s surprisingly diverse flute quintets fit perfectly around the heart of the program, Mozart’s Flute Quartet in D, one of the best-loved chamber treasures for winds and strings. Celebrating the release of a new album of Boccherini’s chamber works, we welcome you to experience the heart-quickening pleasures of this delightful music, in the masterful hands of internationally acclaimed flautist, Sally Walker, and Adelaide’s finest classical musicians.

Selected works will be performed at Sydney Opera House.
