Roughtober 2022 (Fundraising for Rough Edges)

Roughtober is a sleepout event where participants raise funds and awareness for those facing homelessness in Sydney by spending one night sleeping rough.

We are raising money for Rough Edges at Darlinghurst, which has been part of our local community for 25 years. Rough Edges provides a safe space for those experiencing homelessness and marginalisation, a lounge room where people can relax and enjoy a meal, company and conversation.

We will be sleeping in the grounds of St John's Church at Darlinghurst, starting with dinner at 7pm, some discussions around homelessness and the work of Rough Edges, some music and plenty of laughs and conversations before we bed down in our sleeping bags. An experience you won't forget, and an opportunity to make a real difference in our community.

Being involved will give you an idea of the hardships our homeless population face, and your fundraising efforts will help transform lives through providing much-needed food, connection and care for those in need.
