The Sutherland Shire’s premier community theatre production company - Miranda Musical Theatre Company- is proud to present Tony-Award and Pulitzer Prize winning musical Rent from 22-26 March 2023.
The first musical debut in the new Pavilion Performing Arts Centre in Sutherland, Rent is a pop-cultural phenomenon that follows a group of impoverished young artists learning to love and find their voice in Lower Manhattan’s bohemian ‘Alphabet City’, under the shadow of HIV/AIDS. Written by famed composer Jonathan Larson (Superbia, Tick, Tick...Boom!) three decades ago, Rent has become a musical of critical acclaim, receiving 4 Tony Awards, 6 Drama Desk Awards and the coveted Pulitzer Prize.
