Red Bull Dance Your Style returns to Australia in 2023, celebrating and crowning the nation’s best street dance talent through a series of crowd-voted, improvised dance battles.

Red Bull Dance Your Style is a mixed, all-style one-on-one battle, inviting dancers from different street disciplines to enter. Red Bull Dance Your Style today announces four state qualifying events in Melbourne, Perth, Brisbane and Sydney throughout June and July. Free events that are open to the public, audience members can witness styles from hip-hop to popping, afro to ballroom, waacking and locking as dancers go head-to-head.

In 2023, state qualifying rounds will be held at Melbourne’s Chasers Nightclub on June 17, Perth’s The Rechabite on June 22, Brisbane’s Powerhouse on June 24 and finally, Parramatta's Crown Hotel on July 1. Dancers will have their moment to battle it out and win over the crowds for a spot at the Red Bull Dance Your Style Final, taking place at Sydney’s Overseas Passenger Terminal on July 15. The Australian crowned winner of Red Bull Dance Your Style will land themselves the ultimate opportunity to represent Australia at the Red Bull Dance Your Style World Final in Frankfurt, Germany on November 4, 2023.

Dancers are challenged with unpredictable music – curated in all cities by Sydney DJ, street dancer and producer, Kez (aka Kieran Crowe). Each round consists of two battles where the crowd determines who truly rules the dance floor.

Taking place across 130 events in more than 30 countries, Red Bull Dance Your Style celebrates dance and performance, to recreate the social, community and party atmosphere that street-dance styles originated from. The Red Bull Dance Your Style World Final held in South Africa in December 2022 incorporated 64 winners from participating countries from both 2021 and 2022 and garnered over five million views on YouTube.

In 2022, the Red Bull Dance Your Style National Final, held in Sydney’s Overseas Passenger Terminal, was won by Sydney’s K.O aka Koh Yamada, his second crown after winning the Red Bull Dance Your Style National Final in 2019. K.O represented Australia at the 2022 Red Bull Dance Your Style World Final in South Africa in December 2022. Also competing at the 2022 World Final was 2021 winner Tony Oxybel, a performing artist and choreographer born in Paris, France and currently based in Sydney.

Support your local dancers at a qualifier event near you soon, make your vote count towards finding Australia’s next greatest dancer, and give them a shot at being crowned Red Bull Dance Your Style World Champion.
